Apr 2023

The community is invited to join this free webinar on challenges, benefits, publishing options, how-to steps, and best practices for basic multilingual metadata use in PKP software. The Webinar is presented by Érudit and PKP, together as Coalition Publica.

Why multilingualism?

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) strives to increase access and reach of scholarly publishing. Decentralizing English and promoting publishing in multiple languages is one way to encourage all of those involved at every step in the publishing process to engage with valuable research that might otherwise be overlooked. Some of PKP’s multilingual initiatives are included in its research, software development, PKP School, the Document Interest Group and translation projects.

Érudit disseminates a variety of journals reflecting scholarship and culture in Canadian as well as global humanities and social sciences:

In collaboration with a network of partners in Québec, Canada and abroad, we work to establish a unique and innovative model to widen access to knowledge and to support bibliodiversity.

Together, PKP and Érudit are Coalition Publica, whose mission is to help develop and coordinate an open and sustainable national infrastructure supporting research dissemination and digital scholarly publishing in Canada.
