About these Resources

Coalition Publica is pleased to showcase materials that help build capacity for diamond open access publishing in Canada. These are developed and maintained by Coalition Publica, PKP, Érudit, the CARL Library Publishing Community Engagement Team and other community partners to support journals to adhere to best practices in digital scholarly publishing. We also highlight research that supports the development and understanding of scholarly publishing in Canada. Resources include articles, guides, tutorials, webinar recordings, reports, and templates, and are tagged according to the target audience.

Roadmap for SSHRC Aid to Scholarly Journals: Adopting Best Practices in Diamond Open Access

This road map is meant primarily for scholarly journals, with or without an embargo period/moving wall, that do not already use an open licence and that intend to comply with the criteria laid out in the 2025 SSHRC ASJ program, though any journal may find its guiding principles useful.
